It is difficult for the Federal Reserve to assess how the economy may change under policies of the Trump administration because of uncertainty over the new administration’s economic plans, particularly following the dramatic failure of the health care act, Fed Governor Jerome Powell said on Tuesday.
“The scope, the timing and the contents of fiscal policy remain pretty uncertain, and we are just going to have to wait and see,” Powell said in remarks to reporters after a speech at West Virginia University.
